Twin souls behind a burlap mask
Greetings y’all,
This is my first attempt at anything like this so don’t expect anything well written.
I am WorriKrow, you can also refer to me as the Krow. Who am I, you might ask. I am an aspiring metal musician from the Southern USA. I have been having trouble writing lyrics so decided to make this substack to put out thoughts on different topics and maybe these will allow me to create some lyrics.
- “So, why the mask?”
I’m not one for sharing my face so I created this mask. It is made of burlap, leather, and lots of glue. It honestly hurts to wear, but it fits the vibe so we like it. Which that is where the initial idea of the name came from.
“WorriKrow” a name taken from a home depot halloween animatronic, well technically that would be a worricrow. Which that takes its name from the Scottish term for hobgoblins and other similar beasts. The burlap from the mask reminded me of a scarecrow but obviously calling ourselves Scarecrow or even ScareKrow or anything is too obvious and simplistic. So, WorriKrow was born.
You may notice I flip between different ways of referring to myself, mostly singular and plural forms. That is due to a split personality caused by events I do not fully recall. This project is also a chance for me to work through that and bring ourselves closure, so yea.
